1. Someone writes a review
Reviewers pick the person, say how they worked together (client, colleague, student, buyer), rate their personal qualities (like honesty and professionalism) and the professional skills the person chose.
2. Automatic checks
We check for signs of fake or paid reviews: brand-new accounts, many reviews from one device, copied text, and reviews from people the subject is linked to.
3. Moderation
A person on our team reads every review before it goes live. Most are checked within a day. If we reject a review we tell the writer why, and they can edit and resubmit.
4. Published, with a right to reply
Once published, the review appears on the profile and counts towards the TrustScore. The person reviewed gets notified and can reply publicly once.
How the TrustScore is calculated
The TrustScore is a weighted average of published ratings from 1 to 5. Recent reviews count more than old ones, and reviews from verified reviewers count more than unverified ones. Nobody can pay to change it.
